Language & Brain Interest Group
The mission of the UF Language and Brain Interest Group is to provide a network and support group for researchers doing language research of any type here at the University of Florida. To accomplish this mission, there is a monthly forum for the interdisciplinary discussion featuring the research of one of the attendees. Our goals are to facilitate collaboration across disciplinary lines and to offer members a place to discuss problem data, get feedback on grant ideas, or even practice talks that will be presented at national conferences. At present, we have members representing 10 different departments across 4 different UF colleges (Liberal Arts & Sciences, Education, Public Health & Health Professions, and Medicine), plus the McKnight Brain Institute and the Malcom Randall VA Hospital.
Meetings are held monthly, following CNS, in Room E336 of the VA Hospital. (See Schedule for the list of speakers and topics).
Directions:
- Either enter the VA Hospital at the Emergency room and take the B elevators to the 3rd floor. OR Alternatively, come in the west-most basement door of the VA hospital (around to the West; below the Emergency Room entrance). Walk down this hallway till you find the B elevators on the left (there are signs).
- Take the B elevators to the 3rd floor. Coming out of the B elevators go left to the 2nd corridor, go all the way down & turn right. E 336 is 2nd & 3rd doors on the left.
