Minutes: Search Committee Meeting Positions 0022141, 00024663- (orginally 2 Speech Pathologist Adult)
* changed in October due to staffing reassignments to be one Speech Pathologist adult and one Speech Pathologist peds...see below specific information on the Peds search position # 00024663.

Present: Lloyd Alford, Brent Baldwin, Cynthia DuBose (Shands), Dana Griffis (chair), Sara S. Plager (note-taker)
- Ad reviewed. Edits made. All in agreement.
- Advertising: recommended locations: A) Dept website, B) ASHA Online C) Gainesville Sun classifieds (hard copy and/or on-line). These will be submitted to the office manager for posting. It was also recommended that the ad be printed on bright colored paper and given to Alford for distribution at a conference he is attending in September. Plager will print them and get them to Alford. Once approved and posted, all members of the committee were also encouraged to email the ad to any/all SLP’s, facilities, universities they may be familiar with.
- Interview questions were reviewed and edited. All in agreement.
- Next meeting will be called once applications come in.

* this position as shown above was orginally posted as an Adult speech position. Due to changes in staffing it was determined that we needed someone with Pediatric skills instead. So the position was change and minutes of the meeting below are from the first meeting after the change with a new search chair and committee

Time of meeting: 8:30am - CD clinic
Present: Emily McClain, Debra Shimon, Stephanie Norris (Chair)
- Described clinic experience: Electrophysiology assessements, vestibular/balance assessements, pediatric diagnostic and hearing aid fittings, auditory processing evaluations, and wide array of diagnostic services.
- Entry level position.
- Plan to post position by August 25, 2008.
- Deadline for applications will be September 9, 2008.
- Plan to post position in the following locations: AAA website www.audiology.org, Audiology on-line: www.audiologyonline.com, FLAAA website if they have career posting available, The Gainesville Sun

Individual meeting held by Search Committee Chair with each committee member- 2 strong candidates applied. All agreed to proceed in interviewing both candidates
Search Committee Chair notified Department Chair of the two candidates and request to proceed with the interviewing process.
Interviews will be held the week of 10/20/08-10/24/08 and 10/27/08- 10/31/08
